Sreamy
A moment to unwind in the city.
Sreamy is a weekend-only bakery in Kichijoji Higashicho. Take home its signature toasty cookies, an assortment of distinctive bakes and generously filled quiche.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Along a street in Kichijoji Higashicho, Sreamy is a small bakery that opens mainly on Saturdays and Sundays. Its display case is filled with simple, charming bakes, and choosing even just one to take home makes a pleasant stop on a weekend stroll.
Start with the Sreamy Cookie, named after the shop. It has a toasty flavour, just the right level of sweetness and a satisfyingly crisp bite. Other cookies include Donkuri, an irregularly shaped biscuit sandwiched with chocolate; Crisp Coco, with a hint of coconut; and Shiro, finished with a refreshing lemon-flavoured white chocolate icing. Gift boxes containing an assortment are also available, making a handy present to take along.
For something savoury, the quiche is a popular choice. Its crisp pastry is generously filled with ingredients such as pumpkin or spinach and minced meat, making each bite substantial. Take one home with seasonal bakes such as an apple muffin with whole pieces of apple, skin and all, or banana bread, and you’ll have a more satisfying snack or light meal at home.
Payment is by cash only, and there is no customer toilet inside. To find a good selection, try stopping by when the display is well stocked, then have a few of your favourite bakes wrapped to take away.
